Prank videos take up a lot of space on the Internet. People troll their friends, colleagues or just the general public to have a good laugh, and get views, of course.?
However, one prank took things a little too far and turned out to be extremely dangerous.
The incident took place in Kerala's Alappuzha district when a group of six men deliberately got involved in a minor accident for the sake of making a video. Once authorities were made aware of the incident, the Motor Vehicles Department confiscated their vehicle and suspended their licenses.?
The now-viral video was played by a local news channel and it shows two bike-borne men approaching another bike which also had a rider, and a pillion rider, who seemed elderly. After the speeding up for a few seconds, the duo slows down before hitting the rear end of the other bike. The other two men looks angry as the boys move their bike parallel to the one hit by them.?
According to a report by Mathrubhumi.com, the men, who recorded the entire incident, fled from the scene after apologising to the elderly man, who sustained an injury on his hand.?
They went ahead and uploaded the video on the internet after adding background music and dialogues of a film called 'In Harihar Nagar'.?
The six men were recreating a scene from the film.
Reports also mention that the incident occurred around two weeks ago and the men involved in this 'prank' video are residents of Mahadevikadu near Harippad in Alappuzha.?
The registration papers of bikes and licenses of these men have been suspended for six months.
