With Hedwig As Ring Bearer, This Couple Had The Most Elaborate Harry Potter-Themed Wedding

For a hardcore Harry Potter fan, anything Potter-themed is always welcome - birthdays, Halloween, sleepovers, cruises and even weddings. One couple just lived the dream of having a Harry Potter-themed wedding.

Marcus and Caroline?Hewston?are both die-hard Potter fans. So, they went out of their way and spent more than Rs 17.8 lakh to recreate J.K. Rowling's magic on their special day.

The wedding took place at Dalhousie Castle in Bonnyrigg, Edinburgh complete with broomsticks and an owl to carry the rings.?

"I found loads of ideas online but I didn't want to re-create someone else's vision, I wanted my own wedding. We had gold antique mirrors, everything was written in the Harry Potter style font, and we even had broomstick bouquets for the bridesmaids,” the Lad Bible quoted her as saying.

Organizing the wedding was no easy feat, it took the couple months to get everything straight.?

When the owl delivered the rings to the couple during the wedding, Hedwig's theme played as it flew down the aisle.

“After the ceremony, our guests got to meet the owls at the drinks reception. The idea of the wedding was to be completely different and we just wanted it to be completely our own,” said Caroline.

"Everyone fully got involved in the dressing up and the face paint - I loved it and everyone else did too,” said Caroline.

For people who are wondering if that's too much Harry Potter - No, it's not. There's no such thing as too much Harry Potter.
