A woman's response to a coworker sending her unsolicited nude photo has gone viral on Reddit with people supporting?her tactic.?
A Reddit user?u/businessbittch shared a post?after receiving 'inappropriate' texts from her married coworker on St. Patrick's?Day weekend. She responded to them on her work email during business hours with the images attached.?
"One of my coworkers who I had thought was friendly but that was it (he is married) sent me some inappropriate texts at like 3 am on St. Patricks Day weekend.?Asking me to come over and "have some fun" and saying that he had been into me for a while and knew I felt the same. (I don't, I'm a lesbian but not out at work)," she wrote.?
She said that he sent her a?naked selfie that was "luckly cut off right before" his private parts.?
"When I saw them, I was out with friends and was like "What the fuck... Ok this is a Monday problem". I have a really strict rule with myself that I don't do work, think about work, or answer messages about work outside of 9-5 M-F. I also don't use my personal phone for work stuff. If someone from work calls or texts and it's not one of the coworkers I see as a close friend and trust to not talk shop on the weekends, I'm not answering," she said in the post.?
The Reddit user said she ignored his messages. However, later her male coworker sent several more messages, apologising and saying he was drunk.?
But he then told her that he "hadn't said it how he wanted to but he was still into me and had a feeling I felt the same."
When they returned to work, she wrote him an email, which included the messages and photos she received from him. She asked that he only contact her through work channels during business hours.? ?
"Additionally, I found the content of your messages unwelcome and inappropriate," u/businessbittch concluded. "Please only contact me regarding work."??
She said he was angry and texted her that she "crossed a line" by including the photo he sent to her on her work email.??
Many Reddit users supported the woman's response and blasted the man for his ill-suited conduct.?
"Go to HR immediately," one Redditor urged.
"Be careful because a man that gets badly embarrassed like this may lash out and get nasty," another commenter wrote.?
