We always associate high life, high maintenance with rich people. Buying expensive cars, clothes and having other fine things, is common among the people with tonnes of money.
But unlike rest of the millionaires, Aimee Elizabeth does not do lavish.?Despite having a net worth of $5.3 million, Aimee refuses to go a penny over her $1000 monthly budget.
The self-confessed ¡®world¡¯s cheapest multi-millionaire¡¯ refuses to spend money where she doesn¡¯t have to, and even eats cat food to keep her grocery bills down.
Aimee, 50, from Las Vegas, who appears on TLC¡¯s?Extreme Cheapskates, has found out ways - some rather bizarre- to save money in every aspect of her life.
¡°I keep my water heater turned off, I need 22 minutes to heat it up enough to get a shower so I turn it on every morning when I get up.?I set it for 22 minutes so I know exactly when my shower¡¯s ready because God forbid I waste another minute on that water heater,¡± she says on the show.?

It may seem petty, but Aimee claims it saves her $80 a month in doing so.?In fact, she saves a total of $ 200,000 a year by refusing to buy anything new.
She uses the same washing up sponge until it falls to bits and only uses one knife which she refuses to wash up using water.

After her divorce from ex-husband Michael, Aimee was given the house in which she lives and quite surprisingly, Michael offers to clean the property for free. This helps Aimee save a few hundred dollars on cleaning bills every month.
Perhaps, the most bizarre?habit of Aimee, is that she feeds herself cat food?that can be labelled as "chicken and tuna in light gravy."?She also admitted that she has fed cat food to her guests. She added, "When I go to these extremes I think people see it and it annoys a lot of them but I don't care. It saves money."
Aimee¡¯s job often requires her to travel to LA, but rather than fork out $250, she drives four hours each way in her 17-year-old car.
