Zomato named the man, who went by Hanees alone, the "nation's biggest foodie" in 2023. Another Mumbai man, who placed 121 orders in a single day, made it to the yearly report.
Zomato shared some intriguing findings from other locations, stating that Delhi had the most late-night orders and Bengaluru had the most breakfast orders.
Furthermore, a Bengaluru resident placed the largest order Zomato has received this year, at Rs 46,273. Using Zomato, a different city consumer sent 1,389 gift orders totalling Rs 6.6 lakh.
More than 10.09 crore biryani orders and over 7.45 crore pizza orders were placed on Zomato in 2023, indicating that these two foods were the top food order trends.
According to Zomato, the quantity of biryani ordered in 2023 can fill eight Qutub Minar in Delhi, and the pizza can fill more than five Eden Garden cricket stadiums in Kolkata.?Bowls of noodles ranked third with more than 4.55 crore.?The delivery behemoth claimed it was enough noodles to wrap the globe 22 times over.
According to Swiggy's year-end report, which was just issued, the most popular dish on the food delivery service was also biryani for the eighth consecutive year.?In 2023, India placed 2.5 biryani orders every second.?
This year, 1,633 biryanis were ordered by a guy in Hyderabad.?Hyderabad had the most biryani orders on Swiggy, with the city placing one out of every six orders for the meal.
