Earlier this year, the?Tata?Group?had begun talks to?list its auto component manufacturing business, Tata Autocomp Systems (TACO), with the formal process expected to begin later this year.??TACO is owned fully by?Tata Group?entities with direct holding by?Tata Sons, which owns around 21%?while the remaining is held by Tata Industries Ltd. TACO was founded in 1995 and operates as the vehicle for the group's ventures in the auto components business.
Tata Play (formerly Tata Sky) is also set to go public with its IPO expected this year. It has already received a green light from SEBI to proceed with the IPO. However, the timeline and details of the IPO still remain uncertain, but it is expected to happen this year.
In December 2022, it was revealed by?Bigbasket's Chief Financial Officer Vipul Parekh?that Tata group owned company?is expected to launch an initial public offering in 24 to 36 months, implying that Bigbasket's IPO can be expected in second of 2024 or early 2025.
Another mega IPO coming up is of Tata Group's parent company, Tata Sons.?After being classified as an ¡®upper-layer¡¯ NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) by RBI last year,?Tata Sons?needs to go for share listing on or before September 2025. Tata Sons IPO is expected to be either the biggest or atleast among the biggest ones in India.

As per IPO Central?report,?another interesting Tata Group IPO planned this year is?Tata Advanced Systems (TASL). Founded in 2007,?Tata Advanced Systems Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, and is the strategic Aerospace and Defence arm of the TATA Group. It offers services in?aerostructures & aero-engines, airborne platforms & systems, defence & security, and land mobility.
In an effort to profit from its investments in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, the Tata Group is also considering listing of?Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd (TPEM), the company that manufactures EVs.
The Tata group intends to?list the EV unit for $1¨C2 billion in the next 12¨C18 months, or by FY25 at the latest, through IPO, "if business climate for EVs remains robust and the overall market sentiments is positive".
