The introduction of the 'WTF Gaming Fund' aims to support entrepreneurs and developers involved in the gaming industry, providing resources and funding opportunities for their projects.
He took to X to announced the same,
"When I was younger, cricket had all our attention, whether it was playing, watching or cheering.. it seems like in the younger generation today, cricket has been replaced with games...It¡¯s been intriguing to see how the gaming landscape has evolved over time..," Kamath wrote.
He announced that applications for the fund are now accepting submissions, encouraging interested individuals to sign up.
In a recent social media post, he tagged 8bitThug, founder of S8UL, Nitish Mittersain, founder of Mumbai-based Nazara Technologies, Joseph Kim, and Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn. These individuals had previously appeared on Nikhil Kamath's WTF podcast last month, during which he urged them to contribute their resources and expertise to foster emerging talent within the gaming industry.
"If you or someone you know is building something in the industry (doesn¡¯t only have to be a game)," Kamath added.
