Having the entire world accessible in the palm of your hand has its drawbacks, doesn't it? In today's digital age, our phones have become indispensable. With countless apps, we receive reminders, updates, and promotional messages via push notifications, which can be quite bothersome.
Comedian Vir Das recently expressed his frustration over the same by calling out quick commerce company Zepto for sending incessant notifications. No points for guessing, that he gave a humorous spin to even his annoyance.
As per the screenshot, Zepto had sent four notifications in the span of less than 10 minutes.?
One message read, "Vir: I am thirsty," while another stated, "You're like paneer." A third notification added, "You are so beautiful, Vir," and the last one asked, "Can we interest you in a cookie?" accompanied by a heart emoji.
He captioned this image as, "I don't care if you're thirsty. Your eggplant needs to leave my mushroom button alone. I don't want my choco filled. I am not your paneer. Stop," along with a laughing emoji.?
?His caption also included a straightforward plea: "Zepto. Stop."
Zepto promptly responded to the comedian's post in the comments section, reassuring him that they would stop sending notifications."No more flirting with Vir. You've been telling everyone about us," the company wrote.
Since its upload, the post has received thousands of likes on Instagram. The situation struck a chord with many users, resonating widely among them.
In fact, fellow comedian Rohan Josh of AIB fame commented, "Guys stop sending this to me pls."?
Another user wrote, "Bro is getting hit on by Zepto," while a third one said, "The best part is they're all within 10 mins."
One Instagram user remarked, "Finally someone spoke against this tyranny".
