With International Women¡¯s Day 2024 just around the corner, a new study from global financial services firm City Index has revealed which countries have the highest number of female billionaires.?

The United States has the highest number of female billionaires globally, with 97 in total, including Walmart heiress Alice Walton. Second rank belongs to China, which has 42 female billionaires, which is less than even half of US.
Germany takes third place with 22 female billionaires. These include German automotive empire heiress Susanne Klatten and Nadia Thiele, wife of late billionaire businessman Heinz Hermann Thiele, Massimiliana Landini Aleotti & family, as per the study.
Fourth place belongs to Italy, which is home to 19 female billionaires, only a few less than Germany. Heiress Massimiliana Landini Aleotti and iconic designer Miuccia Prada ($5.8 billion) head up the list of Italian female billionaires, a testament to the country¡¯s love of food and fashion.
India ranks fifth in the list, with 15 female billionaires. Savitri Jindal sits on top of the list as the richest woman in India (net worth of $30 billion), and Rohiqa Cyrus Mistry, wife to Cyrus Mistry, is the second on this list (net worth of $9.6 billion), as per the study.
70-year-old French-born Fran?oise Bettencourt Meyers is currently the world's richest woman, with a net worth of $99 billion (as per Forbes real time billionaires list on 28th February 2024).??
Francoise Bettencourt Meyers is the granddaughter of the founder of L'Oreal. Meyers and her family own around 33% of L'Oreal stock, as per Forbes. She has served on L'Oreal's board since 1997.
