Sudha Murty is a name that needs no introduction. The 73-year-old former chairperson of Infosys Foundation is an author, educator, philanthropist and a recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan.?

Born on 19th August 1950 in Shiggaon (Karnataka), Sudha Murty completed a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the B.V.B. College of Engineering & Technology (now known as KLE Technological University), and then a MEng in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science.
She then began her career with Tata group's?TELCO (Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company).?At TELCO, she joined as a development engineer and?became the first female engineer?hired at the Tata group company.?Sudha Murty worked at TELCO (now Tata Motors) from 1974-1982.
As far as her personal life is concerned, Sudha Murty is married to Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, and the couple have two children Akshata Murty and Rohan Murty.?Akshata Murty is married to Rishi Sunak, who is currently the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK). Rohan Murty, on the other hand, founded his own software firm Soroco in the year 2014.
