UPSC Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has unveiled the conclusive outcomes of the eagerly awaited Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023. Aspirants who underwent the personality evaluation can now view their outcomes on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
The recruitment campaign for this year, purposed to fill 1,105 vacancies across diverse governmental sectors, underwent a meticulous selection regimen. Those who cleared the preliminary examination held on May 28, 2023, proceeded to undertake the mains examination in September 2023. Only individuals succeeding in the mains phase were summoned for the personality assessment, conducted from January 2 to April 9, 2024, encompassing a total of 1026 candidates.

IAS officers are provided with a?lifetime pension facility. The retirement facility for all public servants (with the exception of the armed forces) has been renovated since January 1, 2004. As a result, since January 1, 2004, Indian administrative service officials and other government employees must pay 10 per cent of their salaries to pension and the Government contributes 14 per cent to it.
They are allotted?3 home guards and 2 bodyguards?for themselves and their families. If they have a threat to their lives, STF Commandos may be called in for their security.
IAS officers are allotted bungalows or residential units according to their ranks, pay scale and seniority. They additionally can benefit from the service of house cleaners, cooks, grounds-keepers, safety officers, and so forth.
They are provided affordable stays at government quarters or guest houses or such establishments regardless of whether they are travelling for official or unofficial reasons.
Unlike private-sector employees, IAS officers are?not required to pay the bill for regular household services they use. For example, electricity is either absolutely free or heavily subsidised for their official residence.

And in case they use it for personal use they have to pay some nominal charges to the government. A retired IAS officer also gets a job in other government departments. After retiring they are appointed to the posts like CAG, CEC, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and UPSC CIC in various commissions.
However, it is solely the decision of that IAS officer whether he/she wants to continue with their work post-retirement or not.
