An Aston Martin Motorcycle Is Set To Mark Its Debut At EICMA Milan
Aston Martin Lagonda has revealed that it will be partnering with the British motorcycle manufacturer Brough Superior to produce the first ever Aston Martin motorcycle. The motorcycle in question will mark its debut during the upcoming EICMA motorcycle show in Milan on 5 November. No specifications of the upcoming motorcycle has been released till now.
Aston Martin has been a name synonymous with luxury cars that mean business even if you are on a drag strip. Over its long lineage, the iconic ¡°wings¡± badge of the brand has made its way almost repeatedly to the big screen through the James Bond movies. Never it has, though, been seen on a motorcycle ever before. That is what the British luxury automobile company is now gunning for.
In a recent announcement, Aston Martin Lagonda has revealed that it will be partnering with the British motorcycle manufacturer Brough Superior to produce the first ever Aston Martin motorcycle.
For those unaware, Brough Superior marks its 100th anniversary this year.
No specifications of the upcoming motorcycle has been released till now. It has, however, been confirmed that the motorcycle in question will mark its debut during the upcoming EICMA motorcycle show in Milan on 5 November.
Till then, all that can be seen is a silhouette of the motorcycle, if it can be called so. Whether we should take cues from the design, we are not sure. What we can say for sure is that it will be a product to look forward to. After all, a ¡°combined vision of Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman and Brough Superior CEO Thierry Henriette¡± can¡¯t be taken lightly, both the gentlemen being motorcycle enthusiasts here.
At a glance, the silhouette shared by Aston Martin reminds us of the Arc Vector, a state-of-the-art electric motorcycle that was supposed to go into production next year. The company has now filed for bankruptcy though, even after being able to garner a crowd-funding of $1 million.
Whether the one being built by Aston Martin will be electric, is not confirmed yet. But as expected with such a project, the Aston Martin - Brough Superior motorcycle will be a "strictly limited edition" one. No number has been put to the term as of now though.
On a bigger perspective, it will be interesting to see how Aston Martin¡¯s passion pursuit pans out. The first such project by the iconic luxury car maker will be a decisive factor for sure. But as long as it sticks to the ¡°limited edition¡± stance with such productions, it should not be a problem for the firm to sell them in the market. After all, you cannot expect anything less from Aston Martin, or Brough Superior for that matter.
