At Rs 80 Lakh, Arc Vector - Perhaps The Hottest Electric Bike Ever - Is Coming To Life!
Arc a British company of designers and engineers working on electric machines unveiled its state-of-the-art electric bike - the Vector back in November of 2018. Arc has now confirmed that the futuristic electric motorcycle is indeed headed to the production lines. The production of Vector will begin in 2020 in South Wales and Arc has confirmed that it will only be producing 399 units of the electric motorcycle.
Business strategies can be broadly classified into two fashions - Either you concentrate on the masses and keep your product (or service) as competitively priced as possible; Or you go for the niche 'premium' market and try to nail it there. In the world of electric two-wheelers, while there is a dearth of those following the former way, there is no one who is serving the premium buyers. Not anymore!
The story of the most premium electric bike seen to date, first began at the Milan Motorcycle Show back in November of 2018. Arc, a British company of designers and engineers working on electric machines, unveiled its state-of-the-art electric bike - the Vector. At the time, the motorcycle was nothing more than a concept and it wasn¡¯t really confirmed if it would ever hit the market. Well, the company has now confirmed that the futuristic electric motorcycle is indeed headed to the production lines.

As per Cycle World, Arc¡¯s founder Mark Truman has confirmed the production of Vector to begin in 2020 in South Wales. Truman, former head of Jaguar White Space - the design think tank of the auto maker, came up with the Vector as a concept vehicle first. After a tenure of crowdfunding and making several design changes to it, it looks like the Arc is now ready to make the Vector a reality.
A look at the Vector and you will be reminded of, well, nothing! Simply because it is a one-of-its-kind motorcycle - a fact backed by the several innovative design features employed in it. To put it in the words of Arc, the Vector is the 'world's most innovative motorcycle'. Patented front-end geometry, carbon fibre swingarms, custom ?hlins dampers and Brembo Stylema brake system are just some of the examples of this.

Arc Zenith helmet, created in partnership with Hedon. In case that is not impressive enough, there is also a rider¡¯s jacket, named Arc Origin, that comes with haptic feedback for the rider as per the different riding modes. Arc says that the trio will be hand crafted in its Britain facility uniquely for each buyer.

But enough about the features now. Some might be more interested in the bike itself. So here is what you need to focus on - Vector is backed by a 16.8kWh battery capacity promising a 436 km of range on a single charge of 40 minutes. In case you have a thrill for speed, the Vector can satisfy that up to 200 km/h, accelerating to 100 km/h from 0 in a mere 3.2 seconds.
Just to up the 'premium' ante on the Vector, Arc has confirmed that it will only be producing 399 units of the electric motorcycle. So, in case you are a bike enthusiast, have a knack for all the futuristic technologies in your vehicle and of course, have $114,000 (~Rs 80 lakh) lying around, it doesn¡¯t get better than the Arc Vector!
