Hyundai Creta 2020 Launched: Everything You Need To Know About This Feature Loaded Car
Hyundai Creta 2020 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 999 lakh. Based on the Hyundai ix25 showcased earlier in China the new Cretsa come with stunning design and style upgrades. The car comes as Hyundais response to the likes of Kia Seltos and MG Hector.
Marking its India debut at the Auto Expo, Hyundai Creta 2020 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. One of the biggest automobile launches of the year, the completely revamped Hyundai Creta comes as Hyundai¡¯s response to the likes of Kia Seltos and MG Hector which had been eating into the car¡¯s sales since their respective arrivals in the country¡¯s market.
One look at the new Hyundai Creta and you will know that the response is an impressive one too. Based on the Hyundai ix25 showcased earlier in China, the new Creta come with stunning design and style upgrades and now hosts a lot of new features as well. Here is a look at all of them.
More stylish than ever
The said style upgrades are visible with a single look at the car from the front. The new Hyundai Creta gets a cool new 3D cascading grille which is flanked by the LED headlamps on both the sides that now come with split LED daytime running lamps.
Never seen on the Creta before, the new arrangement of the LED DRLs alongside the cascading grille, a new bumper below it flanked by fog lamps at sides, is a tough competition to the tiger-nose grille and headlamp placements on the Kia Seltos (review).
On the sides, the Creta 2020 gets new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a floating roof design. Curving round the back are new LED taillights similar to the design of the headlamp All in all, the new and revamped Creta gets a much more sportier look than the outgoing model.

On the inside
The new Creta 2020 gets dual-tone interiors to enhance the visual appeal of the insides of the car. At the centre is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, while more in-car controls are positioned right below it.
As for its functionality, the infotainment in the car is supported by Android Auto, Apple CarPlay as well as Hyundai¡¯s own BlueLink technology for over 50 connected car features in total. Click here to know all about the BlueLink technology.
More functions can be seen on the flat-bottom steering wheel as well as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features on the new Hyundai Creta include ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake, ambient lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), smartwatch app connectivity and a rear-view monitor.

Under the hood
Hyundai Creta will retail on 5 variants - E, EX, S, SX, and SX (O) that will be spread across three engine options - 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre VGT diesel and the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol.
The naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines (first two) are able to produce 113 bhp of power and 144 Nm and 250 Nm of peak torque respectively. The turbo petrol variant, on the other hand, produces 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque.
Transmission of the SUV will be handled by a 6-speed manual system which will be standard across the range. There will also be an optional torque convertor for the 1.5 diesel engine. The 1.4 Turbo petrol will also come with a 7-speed DCT transmission while the 1.5 petrol motor will also get iVT automatic as an option.

Pricing
The new Creta 2020 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Creta E 1.5-Diesel as well as Creta EX-1.5-Petrol. The five variants of the car, namely - E, EX, S, SX and SX (O) go up to a max price of Rs 17.20 lakh for the 1.5-Diesel (AT) or the 1.4-Turbo Petrol (DCT). Interestingly, the 1.5-litre Diesel (MT) trim is available across all the variants.
