Royal Enfield has unveiled a couple of new off-road centric motorcycles on Tuesday. Named the Bullet Trials Works Replica 350 and the Bullet Trials Works Replica 500, the bikes borrow their performance from the Bullet 350 and the Bullet 500 respectively and will be available at a starting price of Rs 1.62 lakh (ex-showroom).
The bikes represent a modern version of the classic, old and rugged Royal Enfield trials Bullet, which used to be a part of off-races and was later ridden by John Victor Brittain, universally known as Johnny Brittain. Royal Enfield deems the new bikes as a ¡°homage to a motorcycling legend¡±
As a result, the bikes sport a retro-scrambler look and feel with silver and chrome paint scheme and just in case this is not enough for you, Royal Enfield also offers a host of accessories options on both the bikes to take it a notch above.

Royal Enfield has made sure that the bikes are able to take on any sort of terrain. This also becomes clear upon looking at the design and make of the bikes, complete with dual-purpose tube tyres with wire-spoked rims, raised handlebar reinforced with steel crossbar, short fenders and of course, the upswept exhaust with a single spring-mounted seat and a luggage rack paying no heed to any possibility of a pillion seat even as an option.
Other features include a 280 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the back supported by dual-channel ABS. Both the bikes come with telescopic forks up front with fork gaiters and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

As the bikes borrow their performance from the Bullet 350 and 500, Royal Enfield has used the same engines on the Trials 350 and 500 respectively. It means that the Trials 350 is backed by a 346 cc single-cylinder engine delivering 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm of torque, while the Trials 500 comes with a 499 cc single-cylinder carburetted engine churning 26.1 bhp and 40.9 Nm of peak torque. Both the bikes get a 5-speed gearbox.
The Royal Enfield Trials 350 is priced at Rs 1.62 lakh while the Royal Enfield Trials 500 will be available for Rs 2.07 lakh (ex-showroom). With this price tag, the bikes do not really have a similar performance, off-road centric competition in the market and are expected to churn out good number of sales for Royal Enfield.
