Matthew Reville, a 32-year-old civil servant, got down on one knee on the floor of the House of Commons. He chose to break the convention to make his marriage proposal one of the most talked-about affairs, and it might just be written about in history books too!

How adorable is that?
He told the Evening Standard: "I told Rachel the time we've spent together has been the best period of my life and that I want to share the rest of my life with her."
"We are both quite private people, so I thought I'd surprise her with a very public proposal."
"We told all our family and then a few days later put it on social media to tell friends."
Reville chose the House of Commons as the venue because his fiance, Rachel Evans, works as a Parliamentary researcher for a Labour MP living in Twickenham.
The internet could not stop the awwing at the two!
