Aamir Khan to have a powerful cameo in Rajinikanth¡¯s Coolie? Lokesh Kanagaraj has this to say
Aamir Khan is said to be part of Coolie, starring Rajinikanth. This, however, is yet to be confirmed. In a new interview, director Lokesh Kanagaraj opened up about these rumours without confirming anything.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is working on Coolie, which marks his first collaboration with ¡®Superstar¡¯ Rajinikanth. The film has created a great deal of buzz among fans as it features the mass hero in a stylish new avatar. The flick brings together top stars from multiple industries, which is its biggest attraction.
Aamir Khan, Bollywood¡¯s resident ¡®Perfectionist¡¯, is said to be part of the cast which already includes Kannada star Upendra and Telugu actor Nagarjuna, but this is yet to be confirmed, In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Lokesh opened up Aamir¡¯s rumoured association with Coolie.
Lokesh Kanagaraj evades question about Aamir Khan being in Coolie
Aamir Khan, last seen in Laal Singh Chadha, is said to have a powerful cameo in Coolie. However, the makers are yet to confirm the same. In a recent interview, Lokesh Kanagaraj refused to clarify whether Aamir is part of the big-ticket film.
¡°Whatever characters are there, they have to be revealed by the production house. So, I have nothing to say about that,¡± he said.
Lokesh, however, teased fans saying that ¡°anyone from India or abroad¡¯ could eventually end up in Coolie.
About Coolie
Coolie is an action-packed gangster drama that features Rajinikanth in the role of a don. It reportedly revolves around gold smuggling and features several mass moments. Interestingly, unlike Leo, it is not part of the Loki Cinematic Universe. Coolie is expected to hit screens on a yet-to-be announced date in 2025. For Rajinikanth, it will be his first release after the actioner Vettaiyan, which hit the screens this October.
It featured ¡®Thalaivar¡¯ in the role of a cop and dealt with encounter killings. Its cast included Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, and Rana Daggubati. Lokesh, meanwhile, is set to produce The Raghava Lawrence-led Benz. It is a part of the LCU but won¡¯t be directed by the Vikram helmer. Lokesh is also said to be in talks to direct a superhero film with Aamir Khan in the lead.
