The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, will mark the Bollywood debuts of Suhana Khan, Agastaya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor very soon. Yesterday, the makers threw a star-studded gala that was attended by A-list celebrities. Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bhuvan Bam, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, and numerous other celebrities attended the event. Following the screening, a number of images and videos showing celebs posing for photographers and showing support for the cast of The Archies quickly went viral.

"Fans want nostalgia, a walk down memory lane and familiarity, but the generation today, who have not read the comics, they need something that holds them to the story. We had to take themes that matter to Gen Z and mix it with nostalgia to cook the film together," Zoya told PTI in an interview.
It is set in the fictional town of Riverdale that the self-professed fan grew up reading is adapted into an Indian television series called "The Archies." The cast of Archie, Veronica, Betty, Reggie, Dilton, Jughead, and Big Ethel are brought to life, and they are based in a 1960s Indian hill town that still has Pop Tates and other familiar characters.
The Archies will release on 7th December.
