After Giving ¡®John Wick¡¯ Vibes, Shahid Kapoor¡¯s Bloody Daddy Fails To Impress Audience

The Shahid Kapoor-starrer, which was based on drug mafias, kept us waiting since its announcement. Bloody Daddy by Ali Abbas Zafar is an action thriller that also explores the nuanced bond between a father and kid. While Shahid portrays a negligent parent, when it comes to his son's life, he goes bonkers.

In the course of one fatal night, the movie follows Sumair (Shahid) as he battles white-collar drug lords from Gurugram, dishonest pals, a brutal crime boss, homicidal narcs, and both dishonest and honest cops.
This man accepts a tenuous new normal in the middle of the post-COVID party apocalypse and will do all for his son.

The trailer itself looked like this film is a half baked attempt at making something close to John Wick. Ali Abbas Zafar is probably not the best choice when you're going for a remake. His original directorials have been better as compared to remakes like Bharat and #BloodyDaddy

Ali Abbas Zafar spoke about the film recently. He told PTI in an interview, ¡°Bloody Daddy'has not been compromised budget wise and scale wise to make it look like an OTT film. The story is supported and backed by a certain kind of content, which made all of the stakeholders decide that the truest way to bring this film is on an OTT platform. We are going with that gut and we are hoping that this becomes bigger. It's designed in a way that it can be taken forward. And let's see, what destiny holds for us from there.¡±
