Plot
Asura follows the lives of four sisters¡ªikebana teacher Tsunako, housewife Makiko, librarian Takiko, and waitress Sakiko¡ªwhose peaceful world is turned upside down when they uncover a shocking secret about their father.
Set in 1979, the sisters reunite after some time, and Takiko suspects that their elderly father, Kotaro, has been hiding a mistress and a child.
While the other sisters are reluctant to believe this, they agree to keep the matter hidden from their mother, Fuji.
As the situation unfolds, it uncovers deeper tensions and unresolved issues in each sister's life.
