With aspects of both "Black Mirror" and "The Twilight Zone," the six-episode series aims to make viewers laugh out loud. Segura, Jeremy Konner, and Rami Hachache are the directors of the episodes. Bad Thoughts will be released on Netflix on 13th May 2025.
What is Bad Thoughts about? - Plot
Tom Segura brings his raw thoughts to life in this six-episode dark and twisted comedy series, which takes place in a cinematic universe where nothing is as it seems. Bad Thoughts is compared to Chappelle's Show and Black Mirror. With some excellent cinematic flair, the first teaser promises an extraterrestrial invasion, black ops snipers, radicalized elementary school students, a gory kitchen showdown, a terrible deformity, and penis envy.
Cast and crew
Segura, Konner, Ryan Hall, Molly Mandel, Craig Gerara, and Matthew Zinman are all part of the Bad Thoughts producing crew.
Segura's Your Mom's House, which is named after his popular comedic podcast that he co-hosts with his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky, is the production company behind the series.
Netflix has announced that Bad Thoughts will be nominated for an Emmy in the outstanding short-form comedy, drama, or variety series category.
After filming five standup specials for the streaming service, including Completely Normal (2014), Mostly Stories (2016), Disgraceful (2018), Ball Hog (2020), and Sledgehammer (2023), Segura is back with his first scripted series for Netflix.
