Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh Bagging Best Actor & Actress Oscar Prove Age Is Just A Number!

They say age is just a number and indeed they are right!

Seniors have more experience and a more sophisticated perspective when it comes to what they do, regardless of the field they work in, such as music, dance, acting, or corporate jobs. We recently witnessed some instances of the same during the Oscars 2023, and I'm sure it moved folks in India in addition to making people throughout the world proud!

Senior artists brought laurels to the world as they proudly raised their Oscars today and it could not have been better.

Lets take a look at who won what and their emotional speeches:

1. Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh has won the best actress Oscar after a protracted race, making her the first Asian woman to do so in the 95-year history of the ceremony.

In the psychedelic comedic drama "Everything Everywhere All at Once," Yeoh won the Oscar for best actress in a leading role.

During her acceptance speech, the actress said, ¡°For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof that dreams do come true,¡± Yeoh said in her speech, receiving cheers in response. ¡°And ladies, don¡¯t let anyone tell you that you are past your prime.¡±

2. Brendan Fraser

At the Academy Awards in Los Angeles, Brendan Fraser won the best actor Oscar for the film The Whale.

Fraser plays a morbidly obese instructor in the Darren Aronofsky¨Cproduced movie that Samuel D. Hunter adapted from his own play.

During his speech he said, ¡°So this is what the multiverse looks like!¡±

He paid tribute to the film¡¯s director, Darren Aronofsk and the writer saying, ¡°You laid your whale-sized hearts bare so we could see into your souls.¡±

He added, ¡°I started in this business 30 years ago. ¡°Things didn¡¯t come easily to me but there was a facility I didn¡¯t appreciate at the time until it stopped.¡±

3. Ke Huy Quan

The Oscar for best supporting actor performance was given to Ke Huy Quan on Sunday, capping up a truly remarkable award season for the actor.

Giving his speech he said, ¡°My mom is 84 years old and she¡¯s at home watching,¡± With teary-eyes, he added, ¡°Mom, I just won an Oscar!¡±

4.Jamie Lee Curtis

With Everything Everywhere All at Once, Jamie Lee Curtis received the Oscar for best supporting actress at the Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

In Everything Everywhere All at Once, Curtis portrays both the character's real-world and alternate-universe equivalents of tax inspector Deirdre Beaubeirdre.

An emotional Jamie dedicated her award to her late parents and said, ¡°My mother and my father were both nominated for Oscars in different categories," she told the audience, before bursting into tears. "And I just won an Oscar!"

Age is only a number that represents how long someone has been alive. These numerical values do not describe who you are, what you have accomplished, or what you are still capable of. At any age, whether old or young, one can accomplish anything and these artists have proved it!
