Post OTT Release, Internet Points Out 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' Romanticises Infidelity

Fans were amazed by Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani recently. The plot of the movie revolves around the passionate Punjabi Rocky and thoughtful Bengali journalist Rani who fall in love despite their differences. They decide to live with the each other's families for three months before getting married.

Despite universal acclaim for the movie, a recent Reddit post claims that Karan Johar romanticized infidelity in his film. In addition to this, people also believe that he did the same thing with Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna years ago.

While explaining the same, a person on Reddit wrote, ¡°I couldn't sit through RRKPK because of how they glorified infidelity between Dharmendra and Shabana's characters, and I actually felt bad for Jayaji's character.¡±

Reacting to this, one wrote, ¡°RARKPK should have cut some of the time spent on songs and shown how the grandmom hustled and built the family business. Grandpa was a useless provider and they should have shown her side of the story as well, and how she turned so bitter.¡±

Another added, ¡°In the middle of watching this, and cannot believe how lightly they are taking this. And also how unrealistic it was - everything was khul ke (which is obviously insulting to everybody involved, because both of them were married when they met and he is still married).¡±
