Fawad Khan-Sanam Saeed¡¯s Barzakh release date: When & where to watch the Pakistani drama in India

Featuring Zindagi Gulzar Hai stars Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, a Pakistani drama called Barzakh will very soon debut globally on OTT. Fans of Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan are in for a treat as two of their favorite Pakistani actors are about to take center stage.

What is Barzakh about?

As per PTI, the story Barzakh, which means "obstacle" or "purgatory," is portrayed against the stunning backdrop of Pakistan's Hunza Valley, highlighting its ethereal beauty.

The creators claim that through a compelling story that defies social norms, the six-episode series also addresses issues of gender inclusion, generational trauma, mental health, and postpartum depression.

"This emotionally profound narrative makes viewers think about life's mysteries, what happens after death, and the deep feeling of love that ties us together," reads its official synopsis.

When to watch Barzakh in India?

Barzakh will release on 19th July 2024.

Barzakh Director And Producers Talk About The Show

Director Asim Abbasi described "Barzakh" as a story about love and faith. As per PTI, he said, "About humans desperately looking for connections and meaning. Fragile, broken souls, looking to hold on to whatever they can, to make sense of this big, bad, beautiful thing called life. Thanks to Shailja and Zindagi, 'Barzakh' has truly been a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.¡±

Shailja Kejriwal and Waqas Hassan, who have produced the show also talked about what they want to present to their audience.

For Kejriwal, "Barzakh" is that story where the entire cast and crew came together to be a part of something unique, fresh, and slightly mind bending.

"At its core, 'Barzakh' is about an estranged family reuniting for a wedding. It is unique because this reunion brings together the living as well as the dead. It is elevating because at the end of it all there is a 'happily ever after'!" she said.

"I feel like working with an international production partner not only broadened my horizons but gave Pakistani film makers and thespians a platform to prove to the world that they can match global expectations and quality," added Hassan.
