Gladiator II OTT Release Date Confirmed: Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal recently spearheaded a historical epic drama that grossed $462.2 million worldwide. Released theatrically in November 2024, the thriller has been available to watch for a fee for quite some time now but is finally ready to go non-rental. Gladiator II¡¯s plot summary
Sixteen years after Emperor Marcus Aurelius' death, Rome is ruled by the corrupt emperors Geta and Caracalla. In North Africa, a man named Hanno is enslaved by the Romans after his kingdom is conquered. He turns out to be Lucius Verus, the son of Lucilla (Aurelius' daughter) and Maximus, a legendary gladiator. Lucius is trained as a gladiator and seeks revenge on General Acacius, the man who destroyed his kingdom.
As Lucius fights in the arena, he learns about a plot to overthrow the emperors. Lucilla and Acacius work together to restore the Roman Republic, but their plan fails, and they are arrested. Lucius eventually learns he is the rightful heir to the throne. After a revolt, he defeats Macrinus, a power-hungry man who manipulates others to become emperor. Lucius unites the Roman forces and takes control, bringing peace to Rome and mourning the loss of his parents.

Directed and produced by Ridley Scott, Gladiator II is a sequel to Gladiator (2000). The film is written by David Scarpa based on a story he wrote with Peter Craig.
