Heavenly Ever After OTT Release Date: Get ready for a heartwarming journey with this upcoming K-drama that beautifully blends fantasy, romance, and life's deeper meanings. Premiering on April 19, 2025, Heavenly Ever After will be available to stream on Netflix, with episodes airing on Saturdays and Sundays. On the same date, it will also start airing on JTBC at 10:30 PM KST.

What is Heavenly Ever After all about?

The story follows Lee Hae-sook, an 80-year-old woman who, after living a full life, passes away and ascends to heaven. There, she reunites with her late husband, Go Nak-joon, who appears as his youthful 30-year-old self. Interestingly, Hae-sook chooses to retain her elderly form, setting the stage for a unique exploration of love and identity in the afterlife.

Cast and crew of Heavenly Ever After

The series enjoys a stellar cast including Kim Hye-Ja, Han Ji-Min (Behind Your Touch, Our Blues), Son Suk-Ku, Lee Jung-Eun (The Trunk, The Frog, Miss Night and Day) and Ryu Deok-Hwan among others. Directed by Kim Seok-Yoon, known for The Light in Your Eyes, and penned by Lee Nam-Kyu, the series explores themes of enduring love, self-acceptance, and the choices we make beyond our earthly existence.

Kim Hye-ja, who plays Hae-sook in this one, is a veteran actress with over 50 years in the industry. You might¡¯ve seen her in Netflix's Our Blues. She¡¯s also starred in popular K-dramas like The Light in Your Eyes, Dear My Friends, Woman, and What a Woman Lives For. Son Suk-ku, taking on the role of Nak-joon, has also been in several well-known Netflix shows, including A Killer Paradox, D.P., My Liberation Notes, Be Melodramatic, and Designated Survivor: 60 Days.
