Rajkummar's HIT: The First Case Gets Mixed Reviews, Internet Praises The Original As Far Better
It is a difficult situation when thrillers are remade in Hindi cinema, especially after the public has grown accustomed to the original movies, especially during the pandemic.
HIT: The First Case received mixed reviews and general accolades upon release. Because it depicts how the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) resolves its first case involving a missing girl, the suspense thriller is given that title.
However, it is a difficult situation when thrillers are remade in Hindi cinema, especially after the public has grown accustomed to the original movies, especially during the pandemic. The only reason to see the remake is if a fresh element is introduced to the story.
Narrative Of HIT
HIT starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, centres on Vikram, a highly competent and skilled officer. Due to a tragic history that frequently gets in the way of his profession and causes him a lot of severe emotional pressure, he has PTSD. Neha, Vikram's Lovelady and forensic specialist, is a ray of brightness in his life and offers empathy during this difficult period.
Vikram, who is on leave for rehabilitation, has to return to duty since there is a fresh case of a missing girl. He discovered that the case involves personal issues. The plot revolves around Vikram's efforts to solve the case with the assistance of his colleagues.
Positive Elements of the Film
The acting in this movie is excellent. If you look at the character Vikram, you need an actor with range and conviction because the psychological issue, the character is battling are really difficult to portray. The monotone and conversational style of Rajkummar acts as a buffer against the shoddy editing. The trigger moments that are depicted in the movie are also notable; as the layers are revealed, viewers will be intrigued to see how he ultimately dealt with his psychiatric condition, PTSD. However, we would have liked to have seen more of Sanya on screen.
Here Are Some Thoughts People Have About HIT
Watched #LalSinghChadha. It's okay kinds. Not out of the world. Would say Aamir Khan takes his audience to be low IQ.

Few weeks back watched Rajkumar Rao's HIT. It was far better. Better story, suspense and realistic.
Rajkumar Rao starrer HIT movie is 99% copy of the old Telugu movie except for the last 1% part. Unnecessarily "homosexuality" angle was implemented that is of no need. Really shameful @KolanuSailesh ?#BoycottbollywoodForever #BoycottBrahmastra #INDvsPAK #INDvPAK #HardikPandya pic.twitter.com/xpwzOrMkep

With @ShefaliShah #RajkumarRao; #HumaKhureshi & others like them- hope the OTT platform will churn out some good serials & movies in the future.

If its 9 to DC-2 then its a 7.5 to HIT-1 hoping that Rajkumar Rao will get seasoned as a Police officer with more cases ? pic.twitter.com/ytJBlvCnAo
Just watched Rajkumar Rao's HIT, and let me tell you- the H in HIT stands for Homophobia. pic.twitter.com/D3MyYCq4w6

Just watched HIT, not gonna review movie here but the brilliance with which he played that role is something to watch.
Almost shot by shot remake of the Telugu hit by the same name, HIT: The First Case opted a colder approach in the thriller part and warmer chemistry between Rajkumar Rao - Sanya Malhotra in place of Vishwak Sen - Ruhani Sharma in the original. Decent, but the original is better.

HIT: The First Case is the official version of the same-titled 2020 Telugu crime thriller starring Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma. Sailesh Kolanu, who also oversaw the Telugu version of the movie, is in charge of the Hindi version.
HIT is now available on Netflix India for those who missed it in theatres.
