The first episode of Koffee With Karan 8, which stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, was released a few hours ago, and the internet is giddy with excitement over it. The episode wasn't anything like the other Koffee With Karan episodes. It was full of conversations on love, patience, mental health, and fun instead of the typical gossip-filled episodes that discuss celebrity power, nepotism, and intrusion in people's personal lives. For that reason, viewers really enjoyed it.

1. Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Discuss Their Love Story

The two discussed how they first met at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's house during Ram Leela's reading. They also discussed how they began dating initially, were engaged for three years, and eventually got married after Ranveer proposed to Deepika in the most exquisite way. Ranveer also mentioned how, although originally disapproving of him, DP's mother now considers him to be one of her most favorite persons.

DeepVeer¡¯s Stunning Wedding Video

The wedding video opens with Ranveer raving about Deepika at their engagement party. Prakash Padukone, Deepika's father and a former badminton champion, kindly adds that Ranveer adds a lot of craziness and excitement to an otherwise "boring" family of four.

Karan Johar¡¯s Struggle With Mental Health

Karan bared his heart out about how he had a breakdown during NMACC.

He was heard saying ¡°The legit attack I had was at the NMACC launch. I remember Varun Dhawan was staring at me. I was sweating. I didn¡¯t even realise my face was full of sweat. Varun came and he was like, ¡®Are you okay?¡¯ My hands were shaking. And then he took me to an empty room. I first thought if it was a cardiac arrest. I didn¡¯t know what I was going through. I got out of my jacket, which was long and elaborate. I just left in half an hour. I went back home and I just went to my bed and I cried. I didn¡¯t know why I was crying.¡±

He added, ¡°I called my psychologist the next day who I have known and dealt with before. I asked her, ¡®What do I do? I¡¯m just going through a tough time and I also have a film release coming up.¡¯ Then she put me on medication which I¡¯m still on. My mom¡¯s gonna see this. But I¡¯m okay.¡±

Ranveer Singh Talks About Giving Flops Like Cirkus

In a candid conversation with director Karan Johar on his talk show, Ranveer Singh at last opened up about dealing with three consecutively failed films.

He said, ¡°I went through a lot, especially after Cirkus.¡±

He added, ¡°Let me take you back to the pandemic. Coming out of the pandemic, we had this lovely film 83 (2021) which everybody loved. It just released at the wrong time. 48 hours before the release, we lost key markets because they all shut down due to Omicron. Unfortunately, a lovely film had the stigma of being a commercial underperformer.¡±

He explained that Jayeshbhai Jordaar was once again a beautiful, well-meaning movie that eventually found its audience via streaming services, which is where it belongs in the post-pandemic environment.

¡°In Cirkus, I had limited contribution and limited responsibility. So, I can¡¯t really beat myself up over it. Having said that, I had not seen three major flops in a row. So, it was new to me,¡±

He ended by saying that he came in terms with the whole situation and dealt with it.

Karan Johar Talks About Making A Movie With Ranbir, Ranveer And Deepika

Ranveer Singh was asked which male actor he would be interested to playing in a love triangle with Deepika Padukone during the rapid-fire round of Koffee with Karan 8.

Ranveer quickly said, "Ranbir." Then, he gave Karan Johar a playful shove on his suggestion to create Sangam. Subsequently, the director stated that he might still make it and asked if they would sign.

Deepika Padukone Explains Her Chemistry With Co-Stars

Deepika Padukone was asked to list the actors with whom she has the greatest on-screen chemistry during the rapid-fire round. She responded by saying that she gets along well with a variety of performers on screen, such as Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan.

Ranveer also reacted to dealing with backlash over his sartorial choices.

"I take everybody's opinions but ultimately I do what I feel like doing. If I feel like wearing some I just go with the feeling. I felt like I wanted to not wear those clothes where I didn't want people to talk about what I am wearing. I want you to talk about my films, my acting and about me."

Interestingly, it was Deepika's advice that resonated with him and he decided to go with it. "She said, 'You actually come off like a supremely confident person but you are actually underconfident. You should stop distracting people from who you are with these flashy clothes. And that really resonated with me," Ranveer added.
