Mohanlal may reunite with director Lijo Jose Pellissery for a film but Barroz star's fans aren't thrilled
Mohanlal is apparently set to team up with filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery again. However, fans aren＊t too happy about this as Malaikottai Vaaliban每 their previous film together每 did not do too well.
Mohanlal, one of Malayalam cinema＊s biggest stars, recently suffered a setback with his Christmas release Barroz failed to live up to expectations at the box office. Now, according to reports in the Malayalam media, ＆Lalettan＊ is said to be in talks to star in a film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Netizens, however, aren＊t too happy about this.

Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery, who previously teamed up for Malaikottai Vaaliban, are said to be in talks to reunite for a film. Discussions are one and things are likely to be finalised soon. However, netizens are exactly thrilled about this reunion. Many of them took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their reservations

In case you did not know, Malaikottai Vaaliban received mixed reviews with critics praising the performances but panning the screenplay and ended up being a disappointment. The film featured Mohanlal in the role of a warrior. The cast included Danish Sait, Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, and Rajeev Pillai. Given the mediocre response to Malaikottai Vaaliban, it comes as no surprise netizens are too keen on Mohanlal teaming up with Lijo again.
Busy time for Mohanlal
Mohanlal, meanwhile, is going through a challenging phase on the work front. The ＆Complete actor＊ recently made his debut as a director with Barroz. The children＊s fantasy drama, which featured him in the titular role, hit the screens on December 25 and proved to be a colossal failure. He will soon be seen in Vishnu Manchu＊s Kannappa, which also features Akshay Kumar and Prabhas in special appearances. Mohanlal is also set to play the lead role in L2, slated to hit the screens this March. The Prithviraj-directed film is a sequel to Lucifer (2019)It remains to be seen whether these films help him score a much-needed hit.
