What was Maamla Legal Hai Season 1 all about?

When Maamla Legal Hai dropped on Netflix earlier in 2024, no one expected a courtroom comedy set in a local district court to become such a breakout hit. But it did. With its refreshing mix of legal satire, heartfelt characters, and everyday desi humour, the show hit the sweet spot between serious and silly.

Set in the dusty corridors of Patparganj District Court, Season 1 followed the misadventures of a group of underpaid, overworked, and hopelessly eccentric lawyers. At the heart of it all was VD Tyagi (played to perfection by Ravi Kishan), the veteran advocate who acts like he¡¯s fighting for the Supreme Court but is usually just handling marriage disputes, stray cow complaints, or missing laddoos.

When is Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 coming?

Here¡¯s the legal update you¡¯ve been waiting for: Season 2 has started filming! So yes, it¡¯s officially happening. While Netflix hasn¡¯t confirmed a release date just yet, going by the production cycle and the early filming announcement, we can expect Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 to hit the platform sometime in mid to late 2025. Till then, dust off your black coat, polish that gavel, and stay ready.

What to expect this time around?

Season 2 promises more legal dis-order than ever. And the best part? We¡¯ve got new faces entering the courtroom. The heart of Maamla Legal Hai is its cast. Leading the charge once again is Ravi Kishan as Advocate VD Tyagi. Also returning:

• Naila Grewal as Ananya, the no-nonsense intern who¡¯s still figuring out why she took this job.
• Nidhi Bisht as Sujata, the fiery and ambitious lawyer whose courtroom energy can light up the whole building.
• Anant Joshi as Vishwas, who still hasn¡¯t cracked his first real case but has plenty of conspiracy theories.

Joining the madness in Season 2 are two very exciting names:
