Meet Robbie Williams, Singer Who¡¯s Upcoming Docu-Series Will Dive Deep Into His Difficult Life

A teaser for a four-part documentary series on pop star Robbie Williams has been released by Netflix.

The Joe Pearlman-directed documentary will follow Williams' extensive career spanning more than 30 years, from his time as a member of Take That to his status as one of the most celebrated male singers of all time.

The teaser also has many clips from behind-the-scenes video, the singer hanging upside down during a performance, and the star looking emotional onstage.

Who Is Robbie Williams?

Williams gained notoriety in 1990 when he joined Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, and Mark Owen in the boy band Take That.

From 1990 until 1995, he gained notoriety as a musical star with Take That before going solo in 1996. His hallmark song, "Angels," was featured on his 1997 studio debut Life thru a Lens album. The songs "Millennium" and "She's the One," which were his first number one singles, were included in his second album, I've Been Expecting You. Seven of his singles have hit No. 1 in the UK, and all but one of his 14 studio albums have done the same. He holds a Guinness World Record from 2006 for selling 1.6 million tickets in a single day, and six of his albums are among the top 100 best-selling albums in the UK, with two of them ranking in the top 60.

Greatest Days, the band's own cinematic musical, was recently released. The movie follows five close friends from when they first watched their favorite boyband (Take That) perform through the reunion of the same group for the band's comeback tour 25 years later.
