Wednesday Season 2 OTT Release Date: Jenna Ortega returns in a darker, wittier new season full of mystery, monsters and mayhem. Secrets deepen, relationships evolve, and danger looms at Nevermore Academy.

The Addams are back... and this time, it¡¯s bloodier.
Jenna Ortega is ready to make your spine tingle again as Wednesday gears up for a dark and chilling return with Season 2 coming exclusively to Netflix soon. While the streaming giant has not announced any date yet, What¡¯s on Netflix suggests that the new season will touch down fully or in part on September 3rd, 2025. However, an official confirmation is awaited!
But before we step into Wednesday's next nightmare, let¡¯s rewind a bit...
Quick Recap: What happened in Season 1?
Let¡¯s not forget how it all began. Goth queen Wednesday Addams was sent to Nevermore Academy, a school for ¡°outcasts,¡± after releasing piranhas into the swimming pool at her former school (casual). At Nevermore, she wasn¡¯t just the gloomy, brilliant weirdo, she became a sleuth.
A creepy murder mystery unfolded with students being killed, a monster lurked in the woods, and psychic visions haunted her nights. As if that wasn¡¯t enough, she was also chased by a secret society, love interests, and her own Addams family secrets. By the end of Season 1, Wednesday unmasked the killer (Tyler, her sort-of-boyfriend - ouch), uncovered the true villain (Ms. Thornhill, a.k.a. Laurel Gates) and became a Nevermore legend (with no smile, of course).
And just as she left Nevermore, she got a message: "I¡¯m watching you..." So, who¡¯s stalking her? That¡¯s Wednesday Season 2¡¯s job to reveal.
What¡¯s new in Wednesday Season 2?
According to fresh updates, Wednesday Season 2's filming has wrapped, editing is underway, and Jenna Ortega herself is involved in post-production. She¡¯s not just Wednesday now ¡ª she¡¯s calling the shots behind the scenes, too. She also teased that the upcoming season is "very graphic" and that one episode is practically a slasher movie in itself. Romance? Not this time. Ortega has confirmed they¡¯re ditching the love triangle for more ¡°horror and darkness.¡± Finally!
Who¡¯s in it this time?
The OGs are back: Jenna Ortega as Wednesday (our morbid heroine), Emma Myers as the cheerful werewolf bestie Enid, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzm¨¢n as Morticia & Gomez, Joy Sunday as Bianca and Victor Dorobantu as our favourite hand-Thing. And guess what? Steve Buscemi joins as a mysterious new character named Barry Dort. Also rumoured? Lady Gaga. Because why not?
