WWE SmackDown results: Cody Rhodes beat Andrade, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Damian Priest in the main event of WWE SmackDown tonight (June 13) to advance to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Andrade, and Shinsuke Nakamura put on a compelling match in the main event of June 13¡¯s SmackDown. It started with the Japanese star leaving the ring only to be taken out by ¡®QB1¡¯. Andrade then capatlised by nailing a distracted Cdy with a kick/leg strike.

At one point, Cody even went through a table he had set up at the ringside. He, however, recovered from it and returned to fray. In another significant moment, Damian Priest seemingly hurt his leg/foot after going over the announce table.

In the closing moments of the match. Cody Rhodes countered some unique offense from Shinsuke Nakamura and hit him with a Cross Rhodes for the win.

Why Cody Rhodes needs to win King of the Ring.

The past few months have been quite turbulent for Cody Rhodes. The star lost the Undisputed title to John Cena at WrestleMania 41 after ¡®The Franchise Player¡¯ hit him with the belt and a low blow. After this, he stayed away from WWE programming till Saturday Night¡¯s Main Event where he came to Jey Uso¡¯s aid in his match against Logan Paul. Later, at Money in the Bank, he teamed up with the ¡®Yeet Master¡¯ to beat Paul and Cena in a tag match. Cody will get an opportunity to regain the Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam if he wins the King of the Ring.
