Vijay Varma's Headstart In The Industry
Varma began his acting career in his hometown of Hyderabad as a stage performer.
Before deciding to relocate to Pune for two years to pursue a formal acting degree at FTII, he worked in a number of plays. He relocated to Mumbai after completing his masters programme in order to look for acting work. His debut acting role was in the critically acclaimed short film Shor by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, which won the Best Short Film award at the MIAAC festival in New York that year. He also contributed to the highly regarded film Pink. And the rest is history!
