North of North OTT Release Date: In the middle of a cold, tight-knit Arctic town, one woman¡¯s bold decision to walk away from her marriage, right in front of the whole community, sparks the beginning of a fresh, funny, and very human journey. North of North, a Canadian comedy series that blends humour with heartfelt moments, is set to premiere with all eight episodes streaming on Netflix this April 10, 2025.

A small town, big feelings

Set in the Arctic, North of North tells the story of Siaja (played by Anna Lambe), a young Inuk woman determined to take back control of her life after a spontaneous and very public exit from her marriage. But starting over in a small town where everyone knows your business isn¡¯t exactly easy.

As Siaja attempts to rediscover herself, she finds unexpected strength in friendship, laughter, and her community. With her best friend Neevee (Maika Harper) by her side, the two walk together through family pressures, nosy neighbours, and the general chaos that comes with trying to live life on your own terms.

Created by Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, the show brings Indigenous voices to the forefront, not just in storytelling but also in production, writing, and direction. Each episode is handled with care by a diverse set of directors, including Anya Adams, Aleysa Young, Renuka Jeyapalan, Zoe Leigh Hopkins, and Danis Goulet, all of whom bring unique perspectives to the table.

Shot across Iqaluit, Nunavut, and Toronto, Ontario, the writing team of this series is equally impressive, featuring names like Susan Coyne, Garry Campbell, Linsey Stewart, Aviaq Johnston, JP Larocque, and more¡ªall working to build a world that feels real and relatable.
