Star Wars fans, we have good news for you! Star Wars: Visions season 3 is all set to release on OTT this year. Not just that but also a new spin-off series is underway that will release with the next chapter of The Ninth Jedi story.

Fans were rewarded with a significant revelation at the Star Wars: Visions season 3 presentation at Star Wars Celebration Japan. James Waugh of Lucasfilm took the stage to declare that Star Wars: Visions season 3, which includes nine new animated shorts, will officially be released on October 29, 2025 on Disney+ (JioHotstar). However, there were still more surprises to come. In addition, Waugh revealed ideas for a brand-new spin-off series called Visions, which promises longer, more engaging stories set in the cherished animated anthology universe.

What to Expect from Star Wars: Visions Season 3
Season 3 will feature nine brand-new animated short films created by some of Japan¡¯s most renowned anime studios, including:
- Studio Trigger
- WIT Studio
- David Production
- Kamikaze Douga
- ANIMA
- Kinema Citrus Co.
- Polygon Pictures
- Production I.G.
- Project Studio Q
In an exciting development, three shorts will continue beloved storylines from previous seasons:
- The Ninth Jedi by Production I.G.
- The Duel by Kamikaze Douga
- The Village Bride by Kinema Citrus Co.
Spin-off series - The Ninth Jedi
During his appearance at Star Wars Celebration, writer and director Kenji Kamiyama discussed The Ninth Jedi and revealed that Kara's journey will continue in this new spin-off series, which will enable longer storylines from the greater Star Wars: Visions universe.

With the launch of the Star Wars: Visions Presents label, the executive producer also reportedly revealed a "bold new direction" for the program that will allow filmmakers to develop lengthy, in-depth storylines without being constrained by runtime. A stand-alone spin-off series of The Ninth Jedi is the first in line, with a 2026 premiere date.
