Thandel OTT Release Date: Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi recently starred together in a romantic thriller that made all hearts go warm in theatres. The magic of their love story set against a sea is now ready for OTT. Released in theatres on 7th February, the thriller has so far grossed over Rs 80 crore at the box office. A latest 123Telugu report suggests that Thandel will be streaming on Netflix from 7th March 2025, following the usual 30-day window.

Thandel¡¯s plot summary

Thandel is set in a coastal fishing village in Srikakulam and tells the love story of Raju (Naga) and Satya (Sai). Raju, a fisherman, becomes the leader of his community, following in his father¡¯s footsteps. Even though Satya is worried about the dangers of the sea, Raju goes on a nine-month fishing trip with other villagers. However, things go wrong when they accidentally drift into Pakistani waters and are captured and imprisoned.

The story follows what happens to them in a foreign land and if they ever make it back to India. The film is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2018 and shook the entire nation.

The Times of India rated this film 3.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Thandel is an engaging romantic action drama that delivers on its promise. While there are moments where the narrative could have been tighter, the film¡¯s decent storytelling, moving music, stunning visuals and brilliant lead performances ensure it leaves an impact. If you¡¯re looking for an intense love story with drama, action, and a touch of patriotism, Thandel is worth a watch.¡±
