Thug Life OTT release: One of the most eagerly awaited Tamil movie releases of 2025, this gangster action drama marks the highly anticipated reunion of director Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after 37 years. Set to hit theaters on June 5, 2025, the OTT platform for the film has already been announced. Following its theatrical run, Thug Life will be available on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

However, these glimpses have kept the plot details under wraps.

Filming for the movie began in January this year and was completed by September.

Thug Life marks the highly anticipated reunion of director Mani Ratnam and actor Kamal Haasan, who previously worked together on Nayakan (1987).

This gangster action drama, which Haasan co-wrote with Ratnam, is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies.

Alongside Kamal Haasan, the film features a stellar cast including Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Vaiyapuri.

The film's production credits include Ravi K. Chandran as the Director of Photography, Sreekar Prasad as the editor, and Anbariv for the action sequences.

Sharmishta Roy is the production designer, and Eka Lakhani takes care of costume design, with Kamal Haasan's outfits designed by Amirtha Ram.

The music is overseen by Nakul Abhyankar, with contributions from several talented vocalists. The VFX is handled by H. Monesh, and the sound design is managed by Anand Krishnamoorthi. The promotional work is led by Diamond Babu, Sathish Kumar, and Vamsi Shekar.
