People recently made jokes about 'Good Luck Jerry' being an adaptation of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila, claiming that the film will be good because it is an adaptation of a south Indian story.
However, I believe that good content and story can be an inspiration; instead of blaming one another, why can't we simply enjoy the craft?
Remakes can be tricky, especially when the original is a National Award-winning film like Badhaai Ho which is based on a very sensitive subject. But Veetla Vishesham was able to accurately capture the essence and spirit of Badhaai Ho. The film is unquestionably entertaining, with equal parts laughter and tears.

Veetla Vishesham has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. With its OTT release, it has only increased the desire of those who haven't seen it and are curious to see it.
The film, which premiered on ZEE5 on July 15, has already surpassed two crore streaming minutes on the OTT platform. As per sources, the combination of humour and drama with fun family entertainment elements has piqued the interest of audiences.

In Badhaai Ho, Gajraj Rao, Surekha Sikri, Shardul Rana, and Sanya Malhotra play supporting roles alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta in the lead roles. A middle-aged couple becomes pregnant, much to their sons' dismay, and this is the central conflict of the story.
Like in Badhaai Ho, Veetla Vishesham also addresses the social stigma associated with an elderly couple becoming pregnant, but it emphasises the empowerment of women over their bodies. Balaji plays the lead in the film, alongside Aparna Balamurali, Sathyaraj, Urvashi, and late actress V.M.C. Lalitha. The directors of Veetla Vishesham are R.J. Balaji and N.J. Saravanan.
