Pottel OTT Release: Yuva Chandra Krishna and Ananya Nagalla¡¯s Telugu film has finally found a digital home. Released on 25th October in theatres this year, the movie explores the traditions and cultures of rural Telangana with a beautiful narrative. Per a Hindustan Times report, Pottel will be streaming on Prime Video and Aha together in the second or third week of December.

Pottel cast and crew

Written and directed by Sahit Mothkuri, this period drama also stars Ajay, Noel Sean, Priyanka Sharma, Srikanth Iyengar, Chatrapati Sekhar and Baby Thanasvi among others. Pottel has been bankrolled by Nishank Reddy Kuruthi and Suresh Kumar Sadige under the banner of Prangnya Sannidhi Creations and NISA Entertainment.

Distributed by Mythri Movie Makers, Pottel has been cinematographed by Monish Bhupathi Raju, edited by Karthika Srinivas and composed by Shekhar Chandra.

Pottel plot summary

In the remote village of Gurramgattu which is situated deep within wooded terrain, a shepherd named Pedda Gangadhar (Yuva) aspires to provide his daughter with a formal education¡ªa rare goal in his caste-ridden society. However, his ambitions conflict with the deeply rooted biases of the village, dominated by the authoritarian Patel (Ajay). As Gangadhar inadvertently questions long-standing traditions, tensions rise and trigger a series of fierce confrontations.

With his family's survival at stake, he confronts not only the anger of one man but also the judgment of a whole community. Watch this thrilling plot on OTT soon!

The Times of India rated the film 2.5/5. ¡°Pottel is a heartfelt portrayal of one man¡¯s fight against social injustice and the strength it takes to challenge deep-seated norms.
