In The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 6, we see much more of Ellie and Joel, played by Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal. The episode begins with a flashback of Joel and Tommy and quickly moves to Ellie¡¯s birthday celebration, where Joel goes out of his way to give her a guitar and take her to a space museum. We then jump ahead two years to when Ellie gets a tattoo on her burnt hand.

Following this, we are taken to the most gut-wrenching part of the episode, Ellie and Joel¡¯s last conversation. We learn that Ellie had asked Joel not to kill Eugene before he saw his wife, since he still had time to get transformed, but Joel didn¡¯t listen and killed Eugene anyway.

It¡¯s clear that Ellie is deeply upset about this. On New Year¡¯s Eve, Ellie dances with Dina, who kisses her. When Seth makes a comment about it, Joel pushes him away. Ellie then goes back home and talks to Joel although she said the last time she spoke to him was at the party, it¡¯s clear this wasn¡¯t true. She asks Joel if the people he killed at the hospital had a doctor who could find a cure, and he says yes.

Then comes the most emotional moment of all. When Ellie says Joel took away the opportunity for a cure to be made, Joel replies that he would kill them all again if it meant saving her.

Ellie responds, ¡°Because you¡¯re selfish,¡± and Joel says, ¡°Because I love you.¡±

After hearing Joel¡¯s explanation, Ellie admits that although she thinks she cannot forgive him, she will still try.

The Last of Us Season 2 episode 7 release date

The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 7, which is also the season¡¯s finale, will be released on 25th May 2025 on HBO, and in India, it will be released on 26th May 2025 on JioHotstar.
