IPL 2025: GT, RCB and PBKS book the Playoff spot; who could be the 4th and final team to make it?

It took a one-week suspension, a rain-abandoned match, and a Sunday double-header for three teams to book their spots in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Playoffs. Securing places in the Top 4 are Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS). With just one spot remaining, three teams are now in contention.

According to the points table, Mumbai Indians (MI) currently sit in 4th place, followed by Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). With two matches left, GT can reach a maximum of 22 points. Led by Shubman Gill, they are strong contenders for a Top 2 finish.

The Shreyas Iyer-led side can also hit 21 points by winning their last two games. They¡¯ll need either GT or RCB to lose a match to break into the Top 2.

Mumbai Indians (MI)

The Hardik Pandya-led side needs to win both of their remaining matches to reach 18 points. With a strong Net Run Rate (NRR), two wins should be enough to secure a playoff spot.

Delhi Capitals (DC)

Following their loss to GT, DC must win both of their final games to finish on 17 points. Their qualification, however, will be dependent on their NRR and other match results.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

They must win all three of their remaining games to reach 16 points and will still need other results to go their way. In this scenario, NRR will likely be the deciding factor.
