Matka OTT release: Where to watch Varun Tej, Meenakshi Chaudhary-starrer Telugu biography after its theatrical run?

Varun Tej is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming Telugu film Matka. The movie is directed by Palasa fame Karun Kumar and is holding a lot of hope from audiences as Tej¡¯s last few films have done drastically bad at the box office. Ahead of its theatrical release on November 14, 2024, it has been revealed that Matka will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video after its big-screen premiere.

A report published by OTT Play suggests that the Matka will have its OTT premiere around the third week of December 2024.

Plot

The gangster drama is inspired by the infamous Matka gambling scams which took place between 1958 and 1982 in India. Varun Tej takes up the character of Ratan Katri who happens to be a godfather and Matka king rising through the ranks driven by greed and ambition. Set in the backdrop of Vizag, the movie chronicles his transformation from a common man to an influential face in the gambling world.

Matka is bankrolled by Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment under the musical composition of GV Prakash Kumar. Other than Varun, it also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Nora Fatehi, Naveen Chandra, Kishore Kumar G, and Ajay Ghosh in key roles. Cinematographed by A Kishor Kumar, Matka is produced by Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Talluri under Vyra Entertainments in Association with SRT Entertainments.
