In an emotional post, Vikas wrote Radhika (who he fondly calls Radha) was also his best friend, and she breathed her last in his arms.
According to Khanna's post, Radhika was battling Lupus, renal failure, and aHUS (atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome, a rare disease that causes tiny blood clots in the body's small blood vessels, according to the American Kidney Fund) - for years.
Vikas, who is shattered after Radhika's death, wrote:
"My soulmate left me today. March 23, 1974 - Feb 28, 2022... She fought like a champion for years," he wrote. He added that his sister would stay in his heart, forever. "I¡¯ll miss you & try to fulfill all your incomplete dreams & promises," he added.
After sharing the news with his loved ones and fans, he shared a 28-second video using hashtags like #MyRadha and #SistersAreBlessing.
He captioned the video as:
"Even when she was semi-conscious, she kept telling the doctors that she wants to go home soon and protect Viku (her nickname for the chef)."
Vikas' friends and members of the film and food industry consoled Radhika's death and wrote messages for him and his family.
"Omg¡ I can't believe it," veteran actor Neena Gupta commented. "Am so sorry¡ my heartfelt condolences Vikas," Shabana Azmi wrote.
Vikas also shared another piece of heartbreaking information. He shared that he had planned to donate his kidney as he was the perfect match and was getting ready for a transplant.

Khanna also shared that Radhika adored actress Madhuri Dixit-Nene.

In the 15-second video, the actress said she had been praying for Khanna's health.
Dixit-Nene's husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, consoled Radhika's death and wrote: "Our sincere condolences to you and your family in this time. We are with you. She will live on in all of our memories and watch down from above."
Who was Radhika Khanna?
Radhika Khanna was an Indian American fashion designer, entrepreneur, and author. Amongst the two books she has authored, she was the author of Yoga: From the Ganges to Wall Street. When she designed outfits for the American TV show Kitchen Nightmares, Khanna made headlines.
She was also one of the designers and supporters at Runway to win with Anna Wintour and Scarlett Johansson. Khanna, who lived in Midtown Manhattan, was an active participant in the national campaign to find a cure for lupus.
Radhika was a Yoga expert and religiously promoted Yoga at the Lupus Foundation of America.
