Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has just dropped the first poster of his upcoming flick titled 'Jogi' on his social media handle today, August 19, 2022.
The actor has confirmed that the film is being helmed by director Ali Abbas Zafar and expressed that working on this film is more of a personal endeavour for him. But why?

After much speculation, Diljit Dosanjh has officially confirmed that his next film is set during the 1984 Sikh riots. The upcoming Hindi-language film Jogi revolves around friendship and bravery in the times of adversity.

Like Alia Bhatt's film Darlings, Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming movie Jogi will also debut on the OTT space, which the actor thinks will be great for the film's business and audience reach.
Announcing his new film on Instagram, Diljit Dosanjh shared the poster and captioned it, "Himmat da naam Jogi. Umeed da naam Jogi. Watch this gripping tale of bravery, friendship, hope and everything in between. Out on 16th September, only on Netflix! #Jogi #JogiOnNetflix."
On the work front, Dosanjh had featured in a couple of Bollywood movies that includes - Udta Punjab, Soorma and Good Newwz.
Talking about his experience working in the film ¡®Jogi¡¯, Dosanjh said, "Playing the role of Jogi has been one of the most fulfilling experiences and I am excited for my digital debut on Netflix. The entire team has worked really hard to bring to life this beautiful story and I want to thank Ali and Himanshu for trusting me with the role. I am looking forward to audiences watching our film and showing their love."

In the film, Diljit Dosanjh plays the titular role of Jogi. Speaking of Dosanjh's role, director Zafar said, "'Jogi¡¯ is a very special film to me and who better than Diljit to helm the role of Jogi! It's about hope, brotherhood and courage in the times of adversity and is the story of how tough times very often unite different people."
