Entrepreneur Recalls Meeting Anil Kapoor On Flight, Shares How He Helped Her During Turbulence
Anil Kapoor noticed Mittal's nervousness and started talking to her to take her mind off things.
A Vistara passenger talks about how Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor's random act of kindness made their two-hour flight one they will never forget. Anil Kapoor observed Shikha Mittal, the founder of Be. Artsy was nervous about traveling, and we helped her relax.
She said the Bollywood celebrity was sitting next to her on the Vistara flight when a bag above them began flapping due to the turbulence.
Anil Kapoor noticed Mittal's nervousness and started talking to her to take her mind off things.
"The flight got turbulent right at the take-off," Mittal wrote in a LinkedIn post on February 8.
She added, "I have always been bad on flights. In 2022 I developed added fears due to a health condition I am going through because of vaccine/covid (cause unknown),"
"The moment I kept my hand on the divider in the middle of the two seats, my co-passenger held my hand and said, ¡®Hey, it¡¯s ok. Tell me your name. Let¡¯s talk,¡¯" Mittal wrote in her LinkedIn post, sharing a picture with the co-passenger in question ¨C Anil Kapoor.
"If he didn¡¯t speak that moment, I would have never spoken in the interest of keeping his privacy," she added.
As it turned out, Kapoor's concern for his fellow passenger resulted in a remarkable two-hour trip for Mittal. As per Mittal, they discussed everything from worry to financial planning to property prices in Mumbai and more during that time together.
"We spoke about anxiety. He asked about my profession, and we discussed financial planning, retirement plans, money management, and writing a will," wrote Mittal.
She went on to share just 10 of the many topics they discussed.
In addition, they talked about Anil Kapoor's following projects, his co-stars Madhuri Dixit and Sri Devi, fitness, their shared passion for coffee, and a variety of other subjects.
When the flight landed, Kapoor told Mittal: "A lot of people will tell you anxiety is bad, but today due to your anxiety, we both got a chance to talk and laugh, and now maybe you also treat me to a coffee in Delhi."
Labeling him a "genuine co-passenger," she promised her LinkedIn followers that she'd share more details soon.
