As per sacnilk, the second-day collection of the movie was Rs 39 crores, which was a 73 percent jump from the first day's earnings. For the unversed, the first-day collection of the movie was Rs 22.5 crores. The total collection so far stands at Rs 61.5 Crores.
Meanwhile, the total collection of the film surpassed the lifetime collection of Kangana Ranaut's Tejas, which released last year. Directed by Sarvesh Mevara, the film's collection was Rs 6.2 crore net in its entire theatrical run last year.
Commenting on Fighter's box office collection on day 2, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on X (earlier called Twitter), "After an ordinary/average start in morning and noon shows, #Fighter picked up pace post 5 pm onwards on Day 1 [working day before the big holiday]¡ Agree, the biggie should¡¯ve targeted a higher number on its opening day, but the good news is that the audience feedback is excellent and that should translate into big numbers today [Day 2; #RepublicDay".
Meanwhile, the film received a lot of flak from Pakistani actors. Reacting to that director Siddharth Anand said, "Come to the theatre, it will answer all your questions, you will understand the context of it, the emotion behind it, and you will be satisfied. Everyone will understand what we are saying. The primary thing I want to reiterate and what has been said in the film is that our war is not against a country, it is against terrorism. That is what Fighter stands for. It is a fight against terrorism, not against a particular country. That is emphasised throughout the film."
Fighter's Box Office Collection Day 2 has proved that the film might soon cross the Rs 100 crores mark. Have you seen the film yet?
