The water entered the gates of Amitabh Bachchan*s bungalow Prateeksha.
Just like other Mumbaikars, actress Bhumi Pednekar was also stuck on a flooded road. The roads were submerged in water and heavy traffic jams were witnessed due to water-logging.
Bhumi was en route Khopoli for a shoot but was stuck for more than five hours. ※Been on the road since 1.. en route Khopoli to shoot. Where there is a will#§ she wrote as she shared videos on her Instagram story.
Arjun Rampal was on the road too. He was also stuck in traffic. Just like other celebs, he also made a video of the situation being stuck in his car, but he was trolled instead.
He posted the video with caption, "Only Indian cars survive in this weather. Be safe. Drive Indian." A Twitter user, however, trolled him with comment, "What rubbish bro so you also stop using Range Rover and buy a Maruti alto @rampal72." To which, Arjun Rampal, responded, "@user34906 took the video from my Alto"
Renuka Shahane*s car was submerged in the water too. She urged fans to stay safe.
※Safely reached home. Enthu cutlet me and Rasika Deodhar trying to reach work wading in knee deep water. My poor car is totally submerged under water now #mumbairains. Mumbaikars stay safe. Don*t venture out of your homes unless necessary. Their was chaos with school children stuck in school vans and cars overheating and catching fire. Truly terrifying!!!§

Kunal Kemmu and Bipasha Basu also shared the stories.
A lot of events that were scheduled for yesterday were called off too. Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Dharmendra and Sunny Deol were among the celebs who had to cancel the events.
An event was scheduled where Karan Deol, son of actor Sunny and grandson of Dharmendra, was supposed to interact with the media during the trailer launch of his debut film, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. The event had to be postponed.
Furthermore, an official press conference was scheduled to take place with guests like Salman, Katrina and Madhuri Dixit, among others, in attendance. The conference for 20th Homecoming Edition of NEXA IIFA Awards 2019 was called off too.
Media interviews for Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha starrer Section 375 were cancelled too.
Meanwhile, BMC has authorised cutting down of trees in Aarey Colony, which people say, would worsen the situation. It would lead to erosion of river*s floodplain and the flood situation in the city to be more severe.
