Karan Johar & Other Celebs Laud 'Chhello Show' Trailer, India's Official Entry To Oscars 2023
Celebrities including Karan Johar laud 'Chhello Show' reacted to the trailer release and said it's 'absolutely heart-warming.'
After Chhello Show, a Gujarati film was announced as India's official entry to the Oscars 2023 for competing in the best international feature category, many questioned the Film Federation of India's decision.
As people thought SS Rajamouli¡¯s ¡®RRR¡¯ or Vivek Agnihotri¡¯s ¡®The Kashmir Files¡¯ will be shortlisted to represent the country at the 95th Academy Awards, FFI's decision to send the Gujarati film Chhello Show felt like a disappointment.
Even filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, the President of the Indian Film & Television Directors¡¯ Association claimed that India's Oscar entry is a "copy" and hence it won't stand a chance at the Oscars.
However, the trailer of the film ¡®Chhelo Show¡¯ was recently released on YouTube, and celebrities from the Bollywood industry only have positive things to say about the film.
According to Hindustan Times, the first trailer of Pan Nalin¡¯s 'Chhello Show,' was released by the film¡¯s producer, Roy Kapur Films and it is receiving much praise from B-Town celebs including Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Vidya Balan, and Arjun Kapoor among others.
Taking to the social media platform, Koffee With Karan host Karan Johar shared his views on the Chhello Show trailer.
"An absolutely heart-warming and proud feat for the entire country... Last Film Show (Chhello Show) is putting us on the global map for being the official entry for India at the Oscars! A cinematic experience awaits to be unfurled," KJo wrote and added some emojis.
On the other hand, Vidya Balan commented on Instagram, "I can¡¯t wait for the world to watch and fall in love with Chhello Show. Bring home the Oscar. All the best¡¡±
While Arjun Kapoor stated, ¡°It makes me very happy that this heartfelt story about a small boy with a big dream is India¡¯s official entry to Oscars 2023. A true tribute to the magic of cinema. Way to go team Last Film Show. Bring it home...¡±
