In a heartfelt gesture, the family opted to keep the departed singer's mortal remains at home, creating a space for close friends and family to gather and pay their last respects before the scheduled funeral.

Further revelations came from Anup Jalota, who disclosed that Pankaj had been battling pancreatic cancer for the past two to three months.
